Finishing new little commissioned piece “Flora and Fuana.”
Been working on a painting that’s going into the a banquet dinner fundraiser for the Historic Triangle Chapter of VA Ducks Unlimited, the worlds leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation. I was inspired by alot of the late eighteen century Hudson River school painters and an early winter morning with a glorious sunrise!
Still got to bring in some more darks in the water reflection and the final bells and whistles but almost there!

I Spent the week in upstate NY making maple syrup,spending time with family and workin on a new Farm Sign! Pretty cool workin in a studio surrounded by tractors and other farm equipment.

Maple Slope Farm sign I painted last year year. My sixth great grandfather, Thomas Gould Alvord, aquired the land as payment for service in the Revolutionary War.
Finished up my cigar box for the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery Alchemical Vessel 2016 show.
